Dr. Spoorthi

Dr. Spoorthi is an American Board-Certified Internal Medicine physician who returned to India after practicing medicine in the United States (US) for 15 years. Her passion for preventive medicine is reflected throughout her career in the US. Having trained at some of the best institutions globally and worked at world-class hospitals such as the Cleveland Clinic (Ohio, USA), Virginia Mason (Seattle, USA) and the Geisinger Health System (PA, USA). She firmly believes that patients in our country deserve the same standard of evidence-based and respectful care that patients have come to expect and appreciate in the very best institutions.

Her particular interest in preventive cardiology led her to the Stanford Medical Center (California, USA), where she studied dedicated risk factor screening and the treatment of heart disease in South Asian patients. Furthermore, she has a Medical Informatics graduate degree from Oregon Health & Science University (Portland, USA). She completed her MBBS at the prestigious Madras Medical College, Chennai.

She has also been honored with the prestigious Fellow, American College of Physicians (ACP), which is a mark of distinction representing the pinnacle of integrity, professionalism, and scholarship for those who aspire to pursue careers in the field of Internal Medicine.
